The series il faut que je sois was exhibited for two months (May–June 2016) in the sous-terrain gallery Schatjes, situated on one of the old canals of Amsterdam. The photographs were displayed together with the extended essay written for this series by Dr Simeon Koole; a text that describes one possible interpretation of the series so as to provide the viewer with a yardstick to measure their own interpretation against.
Hand-made gelatin silver prints on RC paper, framed in black frames of various shapes and sizes. Printed text mounted on foam-core boards or displayed between perspex plates.
